NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

The awards cermony was held recently with four Timpson employees winning. 1st place went to Peter Smith from Huddersfield, 3rd place Ben Shelmerdine from our Sarsden Workshop here in Wythenshawe, 4th place Keith Dutton from Cheadle and 5th place Matthew Blinston. Less than 1% seperated the top 3 and the judges and cheif adjudicator Ray Barlow were extremely impressed with the top 5 entries in particular.

 

Huddersfield's Peter Smith wins a trophy from Rendenbach along with an all expenses paid trip for two to the very beautiful city of Trier, Germany, to visit the the Rendenbach Tannery where he will see the tanning process of JR leather.

Here at Timpson we have won many awards for our business over the years, but we found our colleagues spending more and more time filling in forms for this, that and the other. So now we try to concentrate on awards for individuals and 'The Shoe Repairer Of The Year' competition always brings out the best in our colleagues. Our colleagues can enter their own branch or colleagues in to any local or national competition of their choice.

Arnaud Gois' individualistic sculptures,made from unclaimed shoe repairs attracted much interest and debate amongst visitors.
